Jesus All About Life - Community Fun Day - 10 October 2009

How can a church celebrate with the Warilla community? By holding a family fun day at Reddall Reserve!

Churches across NSW have been combining to bring a message to the community that “Jesus is all about Life”.

A few of the local churches got together and organised a free family fun day at Reddall Reserve for our area of the city. What a fantastic site for a celebration! The Lake foreshore is such a beautiful place.

The giant inflatable “wahu” soccer stadium was a great hit with the kids. It’s fast and furious and a lot of nonstop fun – except when someone kicks the ball out of the stadium and it’s a point to the other team. The line up for the Laser Skirmish showed how popular that was. Having inflatable obstacles to hide behind presented some interesting challenges.

Kids loved the animals at Matilda’s animal farm. Holding and feeding baby farm animals was a real treat!

The jumping castle was always popular. The coffee ran out early but the sausage sandwiches and ice cream on sale provided necessary sustenance. Radio 941fm enjoyed doing a live radio broadcast. The sandy beach provided an excellent opportunity for our sand modelling contest. Faces were painted. A live band provided background entertainment.

The main thing was that we got an opportunity to celebrate “Life” with our community. We had an opportunity to advertiser our product – “Jesus is all about life” We had fun and we hope others did too. Thank you! We were asked if we would do it again some time. Well – yes – we’d love to.
