Church in the Pub – for Blokes

When: 3rd Monday of the month.
Where: Jamberoo Pub
12 Allowrie Street
Jamberoo
Contact: Rob Thomson

CITP

Mostly it’s time out with other blokes. We share a drink together and have opportunity to talk about our journey with God. From time to time we will share a meal.
We aim to provide an opportunity for men to encourage each other and to talk about the gospel of Jesus Christ. The environment is non threatening and we can talk about our own walk of faith.
Church in the Pub provides a transitional space for men who find traditional church “difficult”.

We have puppets, games, water play, group games and we just have a great time. We always eat tea together – have ice cream when it’s hot and something warm when it’s cold. Come a long and join the fun.

Deliverance Prayer Ministry

For appointments or further information about Prayer Ministry please contact:
Clara Ollerenshaw or Judy Thomson

While prayer is an essential part of all our church activities we also offer a gentle, safe, Bible-based prayer ministry for physical, emotional and spiritual healing.
People often need to be released from things that happened in their past. They may need to be free from the heaviness that is currently over them.
Prayer Ministry is a team ministry using the spiritual gifts of sight, discernment, intercession and healing.

  • It is completely confidential. You will be treated with dignity and respect at all times.
  • It is powerful! We seek to cooperate with the Spirit of Jesus Christ as He continues to “Bring good news to the poor, release the captives, give sight to the blind, set free the oppressed and bring God’s favour”. (Luke 4:18-19)
  • It is exciting. God shows us what He is doing and what we are up against.
  • It is releasing. God wants to set you free so that you can achieve everything He has in mind for your life.
  • It is our honour and pleasure to co-operate with God in this way.

He Brews 10:25

When: Every 2nd Thursday Morning at 10.25am
Where: Jamaica Blue
Shellharbour Square
Contact: Jim McCaughey

He Brews is an opportunity for blokes to get together for fellowship and encouragement over morning tea.
The verse that inspired this ministry and our meeting time is Hebrews 10:25, which reads: “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
It is a very casual and relaxed gathering, with no strings, or time limit, attached. We enjoy each other’s company over a nice brew of tea, coffee or whatever.

Life Groups

Our vision is for a strong city that is powerfully networked together by small, self supporting, accountable Life Groups.
People need to grow and experience life in community. We all need encouragement. We need to belong. We need to be accountable to others.
As we read about the exciting development of the early church in the book of Acts we see that most of the frontline ministry happened in homes. Small groups of believers gathered together over a meal to minister to each other and to their friends. God was with them and it was powerful.
Our Life Group leaders have attended our leadership development programme “Discipleship Training”.

Current Life Groups:

Lloyd & Clara Ollerenshaw Monday Afternoon
Sandra Gallagher Tuesday Afternoon
Rob & Gail Thomson Wednesday Night
Wayne & Michelle Meares Thursday Night
John and Judy Thomson Thursday Night
